Population is king! Look at the major cities (suburbs). New York, Boston, LA, Miami, Houston, Dallas, Chicago, etc... They all went blue - that is where the votes are coming from. Not a lot of population in the middle, hence low electoral college.
Not necessarily amazing...logical. In an industrial nation, people live in industrial centers (big cities). Get the people in the large metropolitan areas to vote for you and you will win. Not that I am a supporter of either candidate (Ron Paul 2012 baby!), but it seems being a community organizer is actually beneficial in winning an election. Part of the secret to a successful campaign is learning to get out the vote in the metropolitan communities.
Blue Red whatever. Let's talk in a couple of years. We have a lot of work to do as Americans, together whatever color.
Let's get through the birth of Taylor female before anything else.
