Birthdays, Anniversaries & Tributes

Nick Haber turned 15 on the 9th.
Sorry I am late Nick, but you’ll forgive, me.

His mother celebrates her birthday on the 13th.
Good job BigSis.

There are multiple reasons to smile today, the 11th of November:

We will start with the obvious. Today is the digital watch holiday, the only day of the year when every number on your digital watch (twice) are all “1’s”. Cool!

Also, of course, it is the anniversary of the marriage of my little sister K8T to DJZ. I will always remember the song Bust a Move coming on the PA at their wedding and Zach was horrified. Of course I was stoked because I can cut a rug to that tune, but anyway a good (or terrible) memory, depends on who you are.

Also, finally, it is Veteran’s Day.
I hope everyone who reads this blog knows that I am a big Veteran’s Day guy. I will Skype the old man soon.

Remember the fallen.
Remind the delusional that the only land that the USA has ever taken from recently liberated people was just enough to bury our dead.
Never ever back down from your glowing pride of the effort of the uniformed militia to personally make a difference for the better. And often dying doing so.

I am the son, grandson, and nephew of a veteran. I am extremely happy about this.
Thanks.

BrotherBill

THanks for the shout-out Bill! I too remember Bust a Move at the wedding and thought it was genius...it was when "Who Let the Dogs Out" that I almost fired the DJ on the spot until I realized little flower girl Taylor had requested it :)
Happy Veteran's Day! I parked in Old Town Pasadena for free today - it truly IS a holiday! xoxo sis kt

Happy Veteran's Day Bill. I wore my flag T-shirt and went to Mass to thank God for the brave men and women who take care of us in the USA. Gordon was on the USS Saratoga as was my father in the Pacific arena of WWII. Jim and I were very moved to talk with him. Dad's and my friend Art De La houssaye from LA. died on Jimmy's birthday in Vietnam. We scored his name for dad on the monument in Washington. Proud to be an American today as always !

love you Mom ps Kelly's birthday is 13th
