Skype is blocked in the UAE. There are work arounds. I will figure it out. I just paid on line for access to a Virtual Private Network. I will make this work. In South Ridge I was not give a choice of internet and cable provider I have to go with Du. Du can’t do as they say. The other company is called Etisalat. I have them for my mobile. They are good, no real issues. I usually have full bars everywhere. Eveyone in this town has a mobile. I guess everyone has a mobile everywhere now, but here you need one almost as a form of ID. I can confirm my account at the bank for example with my mobile. Everytime I use my debit card I get a text. When you call information and ask for a number they send it via text. I think AT&T does that too.
Anyhow, when I get this up and running I will let you know of course. I have a little camera on my laptop. Until then.
