Is it any surprise that this is the first US ship to be hijacked for an actual ransom? No, it's not. Every freighter is going to fly the ol' stars n' strips from now on.
As far as the 'R', acts like this were usually never chastise when the previous administration did them. I mean the Marines leveled parts of Fallujah, that wasn't really remarked on. It was a war.
Now taking away the dignity of prisoners in Abu Ghraib and providing no process to Gitmo prisoners are both serious reasons for chastisement. I can trace the latter straight to the previous administration.
Let me give you something though. The Obama administration has done absolutely nothing to restrict the power of the Oval Office established by the Bush administration. In fact they have done everything to make sure that those powers did not expire. The media is saying basically nothing about this.
