The Devils are in Corvallis. The Gator are back in North Florida at a “neutral” site location for what will forever be known as the ‘World’s biggest cocktail party.’
Now we suck this year. I mean we just suck. I will be honest that I really don’t know the hard details about all of our faults, but I do know that we run like pansies and that is a problem. The Beavers, who I pull for more often than not, must be beaten this weekend. We need a win. I do not know if we deserve a win, that is totally different question. But I want to get off this losing streak. They are good enough at home (on TV in front of the nation) to beat the Men of Troy, so they field a good squad. But who cares, I feel like a hundred dollars, Devils get it done through the air and we make first downs on the ground. Penalties go are way for the first time this year and we squeak out a W with a late field goal in the bitter chill of East Oregon.

Now I have followed the Gators for a few reasons, and this game is a joke. There is a mental problem with the Dawgs in this one. Last year they went a long way to get over it, and they did a good job. The coach let go of the discipline in the first half and gave the boys a chance to go Gansta. Now personally I found it to be a bit much, but I am not a 21 year old senior who can bench 400 and in the middle of a losing streak to a rival. With that said, Urban is a class act and the clown in charge of UGA via FSU is a winner but a prick.
Gators need to bring their A game. Georgia wants this game really bad. Really bad. This rivalry has been lopsided big time toward Gainesville for the last 15 years. There is zero intimidation this year. The Refs will have their yellow flags in their hands (not their pockets) all game.
This is simple. Skill is about equal. Great QB play on both sides. Penalties will be a huge factor (there will be personal fouls called in this game) and stubborn defense will win the day. The Gators are a big play team, and I feel that the Dawgs will hold them in check. Both teams run and pass 50/50 and the stats are not impressive on either side. Turnovers win the day. Field position is king. Kickers make all the difference and the something that can often be irrelevant in NCAA ball is crucial: time of positions is key in this one.
