Saturday Match Ups / $ Where My Mouth Is

UGA 50.0
ASU +7

UF 51.5
UT +7.5

I have a heart and a brain, but since we are not in Vegas I will turn off my brain and go all heart.

I believe ASU can win. Georgia has not played and out of conference road game since 1995. Give me a break. Now the SEC knows very well how to put butts in the seats and make money, but come on. ASU is not close to Athens. This is a huge trip for these guys. Tempe at night can be a new feeling for the outsider.

His name is Knowshon Moreno. He is trouble. He plays for the Bulldogs, he is #24. When he is on the field ASU’s defense will be given its biggest test. He is the over/under. If we can contain Knowshon we can win. That is a mouthful.

I have faith in our skill players; I am worried about or offensive line. They are not the bomb. UGA might eat us up in the trenches. That is not good. The good note is Georgia is giving up yards through the air. The Sun Devils are the best passing team in the Pac-10.

ASU 27 UGA 24 (dog wins in an over)

Go Gators. No worries. The Michigan Wolverines used to have the helmet factor. That helmet would come on the field and you would just get intimidated and they would take advantage. Florida right now I think has helmet. The Vols play in front of over 100,000 people, but this is the SEC and that is not going to be the difference. This matchup is about pure talent. Florida is talented. They have improved big time on D and their QB has a Heisman Trophy back at home. Their coach has the same killer instinct of Gator coaches of the past and the team feeds on it. UT is a good match up for them in some aspects, but in the NCAA coaches can stay up all night and have a great game plan, but when the other team has better talent, they win. On occasion that theory is proven wrong, when the opponent brings to the field a philosophy of attach, like an academies or NEB from the 90’s. Their style of play makes that one week of practice to face them different from all other game preparation. UT does not bring this to the field. Helmet power.
