I am moving into South Ridge. This is a photo taken from the street inside Old Town of the towers of the complex.

Here is the front door of Building 3. I will be in appartment 1703.


















Here is building 3. UAE is like Europe the ground floor is not the first floor it is the ground floor. Theh second story is floor 1. I am on the 17th floor. You can count the balconies if you want. I am pretty sure this is the correct side of the building where my appartment is located.

Here is the round about at the base of South Ridge and as you can see in the distance is the great Burj Dubai. This picture is taken looking Norht toward the Pursain Gulf.

The buildings are brand new. I tried to get into the Residences, which is another complex forward and to the left of the last photo above, they are more established and lived in. No go.

I just went to IKEA and bought almost all of the furniture. Karen I hope you aprove. The camera, a Sony HSC-H50, I believe that is what it is, has 15x optical zoom and can make movies and do other cool things.


It is totally crunch time. I have a delivery of the stuff 1 pm on Sunday. I hope NBAD (my bank) has the money by then or we have a small issue. I can deal with it.


OK. Trust me, many more pictures to come. I am jsut starting to play with the camera. I drove for real for the first time today. Wanted to make sure I could go home to work and not get lost. In doing so I took these shots to give people an idea of where I will be.

OK gotta go, Big soccer game in a couple of hours.
