The old man and the sea of red tape

Thanks Dad for your many trips to Wells Fargo and getting the money started on its journey to its new home in the National Bank of Abu Dhabi.

It will take like 3 days or something crazy, but that is the UAE and their/our ridiculous banking system. Today I also received my check book. That took almost 2 weeks. I received my TWO bank cards, one for the cash machine and one for making purchases. Those two together add up to a Debit Card. Whatever, that is how it works over here.

But anyway, thanks to Dad, I will write the biggest check I have ever written and give it to a Landlord that I may never meet. It is 6 months worth of rent ( I made a deal and am not paying the whole year) and I am paying NYC / Downtown SF prices for this place. It is bad ass though. Pictures very soon.

So as the emails fly back and forth about Father’s day and what to buy or where to eat, know that dad got the paperwork done and interacted with the beast know as the Financial Industry and made it happen for me. And like Mothers Day nothing is coming from me in return for your giving efforts except a bunch of words on this goofy web site.

Thanks Dad.
