No more blogging drunk

Enough said.

Well another weekend has come and gone. Thank God for the Internet. I can listen to Rush’s Pod cast while I type and watch Euro 2008.

I knew it was going to be hot here, and relatively speaking, it is not too bad right now. But the dust in the air is brutal. The 5 week sore throat is gone. It was a combination of full AC blast all night and then the outside dust. I wake up every morning with a sandbox full of goo in the corners of my eyes. When I drive around all the workers in construction or anyone working outdoors wear masks over their mouth, or a scarf or something. Buildings are dirty. The Burj Dubai is a dirt tower. My porch is so freaking dusty. You have to wear shoes outside and then take them off upon retry.

I park in sublevel 2, which is basically a controlled environment. It is clean anyway. Some really nice cars, by that I mean Ferrari and Aston Martin have real nice spots near the front of the complex. The cars are dirty in a few days. The get hand washed and they are dirty so fast. A hand wash happens all the time at the malls. People shop and their cars is hand cleaned. This place is like LA in that they love to spend money on their cars, might as well keep them clean.

My kitchen is coming up to speed. I have a microwave now and so good glass wear.

The Washer / Dryer actually totally works. Great news. The washer in the Hotel did not, that is what I was anticipating. This thing I have is not big, but it gets the job done. It will be the theme of my life at home. Live smaller. What I eat. The water I use. The things that I “want” and “need.” I see people everyday that don’t have cars. As an HR guy, I learn what people make, they live on literally next to nothing. I do want to return home with more money then when I left. So that way I can live in excess again later and be a spoiled American and consume everything again.

I just checked yahoo and I have a few emails to reply to so this will stop short. The Dutch are about to play the Russians. Their flags are pretty similar, I never notices that before, I mean each is the other's upside down.

Talk to you later.
